Jamila Iraqui, M.Ed.
LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
My name is Jamila, a Moroccan American therapist living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a strong background in working with individuals, families, and groups from various cultures and ages.
I’ve had the honor of supporting clients and families who come from various socio-economic backgrounds as they work through life challenges, clients and families who have dealt with displacement and/or refugee experiences, 1st generation college students as they navigate barriers, clients who have lost loved ones, and clients who are balancing/navigating cultural identities, and oppression.
I have done my work within community mental health, non-profit, public school, tribal communities, and university settings.
I view counseling as a collaborative process and trust the wisdom each client holds. I believe in following the signs of the mind and body to tend to emotional wounds. I utilize interventions and skills in Art Therapy, CBT, dreams, incorporating nature, Lifespan Integration, Mindfulness Techniques, Narrative Therapy, Parts Therapy, and Storytelling. Each approach is thoughtful and based on client need.
